Sports massage is a popular form of treatment and prevention of soft tissue sports injuries. It uses a variety of pressure (often deeper, more intense and focused than in conventional massage) to speed up an athlete's recovery time, help with muscle soreness and injury prevention. As each sport uses the muscle groups in different ways, a qualified sports massage therapist has a sound knowledge of the muscular and skeletal systems and will tailor the treatment for each individual athlete.

Although sports massage is aimed at people who regularly push their bodies through strenuous exercise, it can benefit everyone. If you're frequently running around with small children or have a physically demanding job, a regular sports massage may help you. Sports massage is also often advised by doctors to treat back or muscle-strain or as part of a rehabilitation programme or for people who've had an injury.

Golfers at all levels have a unique style and swing that suits them best. When athletes plateau or have an injury it is related to the efficiency of their swing. Professional and leisure golfers alike can practice a swing a thousand times and still be stuck because of a variety of physical limitations. However, there is one efficient way for everyone to a swing a club, that is based on what you can physically do. This philosophy is used by the leading golf players in the field such as Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth.

Our TPI certified training coach will design a programme to help you find your efficient swing. One that you can produce correctly and consistently; leading to peak performance. Before embarking upon this journey an evaluation is required to find out your physical limitations and translate them into your swing. Identifying these physical limitations is the starting point to rectifying any reason for hindered performance.
